The Christmas Message

It's Christmas day and I should do a Christmas message after all.

Listen to your Johnny Matthis and get your nog,
for one and all have a merry and ridiculous Christmas.

Another hit to LACHSA

Just thought I'd give a little plug to their concerts with some particulars.

But now in confronting their calendar, I have no idea what's what. But I recall, for the major dance performances that is, a few major performances every year. If I recall with any accuracy it was every quarter, fall, spring, winter and summer. Summar could have been the graduation though, which was huge (usually at the Dorthy Chandler Pavilion).

I'll see if I can find out some photos and post them, until then try to make it to one, they're a blast.

Schooling in the arts

As there is training in the arts well abound through the world, there are a few examplory schools and centers of education on the subject I'll go over. I think you should know about them.

First up is the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts. While I haven't been there in a number of years, their level of performance, over the years I attended their performances, is definitely professional and full of creativity that is unique to the constant growth of a student body under constant new training.

Check out their site here and read up on them, they are an incredible group.

The bromoil

Thought I'd take up a rather obtuse subject in photography called Bromoil.

A method of developing photos (history detailed here) . The time taken with this process is a bit much to believe, but try it for size and see what you think. Your first example is this:

Fires still burn in Australia

The worst bush fire ever in Australia is still burning strong now with over 617,750 acres burned. The Scientology Volunteer Ministers are on the ground handling logistics and giving Scientology assists for the weary and fatigue and mainting the morale of the fire fighters. They are also training others who are coming to assist. Anyone who can assist in this, trained or untrained, is urged to go to the Heyfield staging area and do whatever you can to assist.

You can also contact the Scientology Volunteer Ministers coordinator here.
